February’s challenge is to turn wooden fruit. The choice is endless and can include apples, pears, oranges, tangerines, grapes, cherries, plums, lemons and limes. Even a strawberry is a possibility. The available videos seem to focus primarily on apples and pears, but use your imagination for the other fruits. Extra credit if you turn a bowl to display your fruit. And, your bowl would look rather empty with one piece of fruit, so turn at least two. It could be one species or a Fruitopia. If Mark Sfirri was participating, he would probably include a bite out of his apple. No challenge there, just saying. Double extra credit and bragging rights to anyone who can figure out how to turn a banana.
